The first 3-2-1 club in Canada

Club History

The Kiwanis Club of Paris was officially chartered in April 2001.

Eager to play an active role in community service, the core group of members temporarily joined with the Kiwanis Club of Brantford (our sponsoring club) in June 2000, so they could organize and host the first Kiwanis Family Fun Day in Paris.

A great success, the Fun Day attracted more than 400 children and their parents by providing free activities and entertainment for children and information for parents.

Over the years, the Kiwanis Club of Paris-Brant has been a key sponsor for the Paris Santa Claus Parade, CPR training at Paris District High School, the Kits for Kids program, and the Children's Safety Village of Brant.
In 2008, the club changed its name to the Kiwanis Club of Paris-Brant to better reflect the membership base and service area.

In 2011, the club underwent another evolution; becoming the first 3-2-1 club in Canada.

The club has continued its tradition of volunteering service to the community while adapting to members’ hectic work and life schedules.

As a 3-2-1 club; we have partnered with various local organizations; holding Christmas cash and food drives (at the Paris Santa Claus Parade), local food drives, Teddy Bear Clinics at the Willett Hospital and sponsoring the children’s art contest at the Springtime in Paris Festival.

To support these, and other, community programs the club conducts fundraising activities; the principal one being a Trunk and yard sale in the springtime.

In 2013, the club introduced family and corporate memberships; increasing club membership dramatically.

In 2014, the club managed the Springtimeinparis Family Fun Festival for the first time. This event is held annually on the first full weekend in June.

The Kiwanis Club of Paris-Brant is proud to be a part of Kiwanis International — a worldwide service organization.
